Welcome AAA Agronomists, Administrators and Cluster Coordinators.

Nespresso presents the 2022 edition of the Tool for the Assessment of Sustainable Quality™ – TASQ™. This version broadens the scope of the work you have implemented for many years with AAA producers and now contains the new objectives from the “The Positive Cup 2” strategy.

This training will help you understand the new structure, scope and functions of the TASQ™. We welcome your motivation to work as agents of change with coffee producers and their families to contribute to improving their businesses and welfare and who rely on your advice and guidance to facilitate this process. The work carried out in this area in previous years is complemented by the new concepts of Regeneration and Inclusiveness with the goal of continuing to obtain the best quality coffee for Nespresso.

After completing this course, you will:

  • Understand the structure of the TASQ™ 2022, its different sections and criteria.
  • Identify the evolving content and approach used in TASQ™ 2022 through a detailed reading of the criteria.
  • Evaluate compliance with TASQ™ criteria in the field and propose action plans with producers to achieve compliance.
  • Be motivated to implement TASQ™ 2022 as part of the work you are currently carrying out with AAA producers and their families.

Instructions

In this section you can send us questions on any of the topics covered, including your doubts when reading the criteria or questions you have about their implementation. At Nespresso, we will answer your questions and create a section that contains the answers to frequently asked questions. You can return to this section at any time during the course.

You must download the TASQ™ and related documents. We recommend you thoroughly read these instructions, the criteria and the Fair treatment and Exclusion Policy document. We have also included links to documents referenced in the TASQ™ criteria so you can learn more about the ILO Conventions, the Rainforest Alliance certification documents and the inputs approved for use on AAA farms seeking organic certification.

At the end of this section, you will have to complete an evaluation designed to verify your understanding of the documents. After that, you can repeat the evaluation until you achieve 100% correct answers, and then you can advance to the next lesson.

We have prepared five scenarios you might encounter during your next visit to the field. First, you will have to decide on what course of action you would take to resolve them.

New cases and scenarios may continue to be added to this section as it is considered a “practice court”.

At the end of this lesson, you should add up the numbers and input them into the evaluation as an answer.

The document serves as a practical guide for AAA agronomists to train and support AAA farmers on the implementation of regenerative basic practices as well as a guide on how to evaluate and monitor the level of adoption of such practices at farm level.
